Archimedes 25.11.0
Test-Taker Experience
- Tutorial Videos Added to Order Receipt Page: To provide more support at the start of the exam journey, tutorial videos are now embedded directly on the Order Receipt page. Test-takers will automatically see the “What to Expect on Exam Day” video for standard Live+, Review+, or Record+ exams. For exams requiring a second camera, the page displays a specialized video with setup guidance. This update ensures that test-takers receive the most relevant instructions up front, helping them feel more prepared and confident before test day.
MEAZURE EXAM PLATFORM
Exam Administration
- Product Visibility: We introduced a new feature that allows specific exams—such as tutorials or practice tests—to remain visible and available for purchase at all times, regardless of other product visibility settings. This feature, called “Open Products,” gives testing programs more flexibility to make selected offerings continuously accessible to test-takers, while still limiting visibility for other products as needed.
Exam Development
- Item Importer Guidance Provided: We added helpful instructional text to the Item Importer interface to provide clear guidance and references for client administrators. This update supports easier navigation of import options and helps troubleshoot common issues, making the item import process more efficient and improving self-service capabilities.
Reporting
- Exam Settings Export Report Expanded: The Exam Settings Export report was updated to include all current settings shown in the platform’s interface, organized by the same sections and labels used in the user interface. The updated export now features improved formatting for easier readability, clearer labeling, and N/A indicators for settings not available to specific clients. These improvements help administrators and exam designers quickly review, compare, and share exam configurations—supporting quality assurance, streamlined setup, and stronger exam oversight.
- Exam History Proficiency Data: We added new data fields to the Exam History report to support exams that use proficiency levels. Administrators can now include “Competency Area Proficiency” and “Competency Area Proficiency Score” columns, which display a test-taker’s proficiency level and the underlying score used to determine it. These values are currently available for exams using Rasch scoring. This update provides deeper insight into test-taker performance, supporting more detailed and meaningful reporting.
- User Exam Responses Includes Shuffled Distractors: We enhanced the User Exam Responses report to support the new Shuffle Distractors feature by adding an "Answer Display Label" output option. This option allows administrators and psychometricians to see the actual answer position as it was displayed to the test-taker—helpful when answer choices are randomized. When used alongside the standard answer field, this enhancement provides clearer insight into test-taker selections and supports more robust psychometric analysis.
Scheduling
- Support Enhancements on Appointment Details Page: We added a new FAQ section to the Appointment Details page for test-takers using the Delivery Windows scheduling workflow. This section automatically shows helpful links based on the selected proctoring method—such as resources on exam day expectations, getting started with the ProctorU Platform, and using the Guardian Browser. By receiving timely and relevant information during scheduling, test-takers can feel more prepared and confident ahead of their appointment.
- Rescheduling Confirmation Message: We improved messaging in the Delivery Windows scheduling workflow so that test-takers now see a clear banner stating, “Your exam has been rescheduled” when their appointment is successfully rescheduled. This ensures accurate communication and helps test-takers stay informed about their updated exam status.
Test-Taker Experience
- Tools Pane Reordering: We added new functionality to the new exam user interface (UI) that allows test-takers to reorder the vertical arrangement of their tools using arrow buttons within the Tools panel. Tools can also be reordered by closing and reopening them. This update gives test-takers more control over how their tools are displayed, helping them customize their workspace to better support their preferred testing setup.
- Change Highlight Color from Annotation Panel: Test-takers using the new exam UI can easily change the color of a highlight directly from the annotation panel. By selecting the three-dot menu next to any highlight annotation, test-takers can now easily choose a new color, helping them better organize and sort their notes visually—especially useful for keyboard users and those working from the annotation log.
- Bullet Formatting: We enhanced list formatting tools in the exam notepad and essay response field so that test-takers can now apply or remove bullet points and numbering at the individual line or paragraph level. This improvement also allows bullet and number styles to be combined within the same list, giving test-takers more flexibility to organize notes in the way that works best for them during the exam.
- Improved Localization Support: Language support in the new exam UI was improved so that both the exam interface and the exam content now display in the selected language, as available. This ensures a consistent and accessible experience for test-takers using non-English content and supports broader adoption of the new exam UI for clients with multilingual exams.
