PROCTORU ONLINE PROCTORING PLATFORM
Exam Session Management
- Institution Administrator Department-Level Visibility: Institution administrators can now view all test-takers' sessions within their assigned department, regardless of whether those test-takers have a department set up on their account. This enhancement ensures more accurate oversight and streamlines exam management for administrators.
- Exam "Cloning" Enhancement: We improved the management of whitelisted URLs when cloning exams. Exam creators can remove and replace inherited whitelisted URLs during the exam creation process, offering greater flexibility and clarity during exam setup.
- Bulk-Invite Scheduling: When test-takers are added via batch invites, a pending appointment now automatically appears in their My Sessions page, ensuring a smoother and more intuitive scheduling experience.
GUARDIAN BROWSER
Guardian Browser 2.40.0
Test-Taker Experience
- Test-Taker Experience: Meazure Learning has enhanced the Guardian Browser to support seamless, background updates for minor releases, reducing the need for test takers to update the browser before starting a session.
Reporting
- Essay Responses: The Open Responses Export report is now available to all Meazure Exam Platform clients through System Reports, offering a streamlined way to compile and review essay responses to a single question outside the platform. This report supports efficient review, blind marking (excluding identifiable test-taker information), and preserves essay formatting, making it easier for programs to distribute, assess, and track open-ended responses at scale.
Test-Taker Experience
- Highlighter Palette: Test-takers using the new exam user interface (UI) can now personalize their highlighting experience with a palette of six accessible options that are compliant with color-contrast standards. The default color remains yellow, but test-takers can choose a new color before highlighting or change it afterward. Additionally, the platform will remember each user's most recent color selection for future highlights. This update is also aligned with the rich text editor, ensuring a consistent experience across the platform.
- Exam Screen Management: The new exam UI provides test-takers greater control over their exam screen with the ability to vertically resize most tools (excluding the calculator and image zoom). A new vertical grip at the bottom of each tool allows users to adjust tool height using a mouse or keyboard. Tools stack vertically without overlap, expand responsively within the panel, and newly selected tools always appear at the top for easy access. These updates enhance the flexibility and usability of the tool panel, helping test-takers tailor their exam experience.
- Response Filters: The new exam UI response filter was enhanced to recognize Essay and Short Answer questions as unanswered when the response field is left empty, even if content was previously entered and then removed. This improvement helps ensure that all unanswered questions are included in end-of-exam prompts, making it easier for test-takers to review their work and complete every response. The update supports a smoother testing experience and helps minimize the chance of unintentionally skipped questions.
- Language Selection: The annotation tool now consistently reflects the chosen language in real time, enhancing clarity for multilingual test-takers. If a translation is unavailable, the platform defaults to English, providing test-takers with reliable language support during their exams.
