Discover what’s new across the ProctorU Platform, Guardian Extension, and Meazure Exam Platform. Recent updates include test-taker tutorials, scheduling and reminder logic, LTI 1.3 Record+ exam availability options, several MEP updates, including integration updates, and a 12-hour (AM/PM) time display.

Test-Taker Experience
- Test-Taker Tutorials Added to the My Sessions Page: To improve test-taker readiness, we’ve added quick access to key tutorials directly from the My Sessions page. Test-takers can now view guidance materials for both standard and second-camera exams before launch.
- Image & Logo Support for Email Templates: To enable more professional and branded communications, the Email Template editor now supports the inclusion of logos and images. This enhancement allows customers to visually customize their outbound messages while maintaining consistency with global templates.
Scheduling
- Test-Taker Reminder Email Timing: The reminder email schedule for test-takers in ProctorU has been updated. Previously, reminder emails were sent 10, 6, and 3 days before appointments. However, we noticed that some test-takers were missing these messages. To improve communication and ensure that test-takers receive timely reminders, we have implemented a new schedule that sends reminders 7 days, 3 days, 1 day, and 2 hours before their appointments.
Integration (Webhook, API, LMS)
- LTI 1.3 Customers – Record+ Exam Availability: Added an optional setting for LTI 1.3 customers — “Disable Exam Buffer/Duration for Record+” — changing how Record+ exam availability works. When enabled, test-takers can launch Record+ exams at any time, even if the full duration is not available, as long as the exam remains open in the LMS.
Example: If an exam is 60 minutes long and closes in the LMS at 8:00 PM, test-takers can now start the exam at any time before 7:59 PM (previously, they had to begin by 6:30 PM to allow for the exam buffer and duration).
Because this feature changes exam availability logic, instructors can no longer switch Record+ exams to other service lines (e.g., Live+ or Review+) in the LMS Wizard when the setting is enabled. Live+ and Review+ exams can still be interchanged.
GUARDIAN EXTENSION
- Seamless Survey Launch After Record+ Exams: The Record+ workflow in Guardian Extension has been enhanced so that test-takers are now guided seamlessly to the post-exam survey after submitting their exam. This ensures a complete exam process with accurate status updates and consistent experience across Record+ exams.
- Automatic Exam Launch Post-Installation: New functionality has been added to automatically navigate the test taker to the exam launch process after installing the Guardian Extension from the Chrome Store.

Adjustable Time Display for Bookings (12-Hour vs 24-Hour Time Display): Meazure Exam Platform customers will have the option to select 12-hour (AM/PM) or 24-hour (military) time formats. By default, all accounts are set to display a 12-hour time. This change affects the candidate portal and email communications.
Exam Development
- New Bulk Update Workflow: A workflow has been added that lets admins remove, replace, or update items to the latest version across multiple forms in bulk. The process includes success/error messages, email notifications upon completion, automatic comments on updated questions, and audit logging.
- Updated Exam Form Duplication Process: Added a new step to the Clone Form process, allowing admins to rename the cloned form and assign it to a different exam before cloning. The button label has also been changed from “Duplicate Exam Form” to “Clone Form” for consistency with naming conventions.
Integration (Webhook, API)
- Updated Integrations for Delivery Windows: Enhanced integrations for customers using Delivery Windows with new API parameters, added validations, and expanded data included in the Order Webhook. Reporting
- Export Formatting for MCQ/MSQ Distractors: Updated the default behavior when saving MCQ or MSQ items to ensure that when exporting item content in a report, the distractor text is wrapped so that no distractor text is cut off unexpectedly.
Test-Taker Experience
- Magnify Tool Accessibility Update: Added keyboard navigation support for the magnify tool in the new exam UI. Updated the keyboard shortcut panel with additional shortcuts to enhance accessibility and usability.
- Passage Behavior Update in New Exam UI: Passages now open by default as collapsed or expanded based on their “truncated” property. For Likert items, scenarios always open expanded to improve engagement. The expand/collapse button has been moved to the top of the passage container for better usability.
PROCTORU PLATFORM MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
The 2026 maintenance schedule is now available. We perform monthly maintenance on the ProctorU Platform, using the time to implement vital performance and stability updates. During the scheduled windows, the platform will be completely offline, meaning no one will be able to log in. You can review the maintenance schedule in our support center at any time.
