PROCTORU ONLINE PROCTORING PLATFORM
Archimedes 26.06.0
Test-Taker Experience
- Test it Out 2.0 Enhancements: Test It Out 2.0 now works for students on the Guardian Extension. Before this enhancement, test-takers using the extension were automatically routed to TIO v1. They now get the same Test It Out 2.0 experience as candidates using Guardian Browser.
- SMS Text Enhancements: Text message reminders have been shortened to ensure they are sent as a single message rather than split into two, which can cause candidate confusion when texts are received out of order. The messages are now easier to read at a glance on a phone.
- Payment and Refund Receipts: Students using a credit card for payment will automatically receive payment and refund receipts. Our credit card processor sends these receipts to the email address on the student's account.
Administrator Experience
- Proctor Audio: Proctor-to-test-taker audio is now automatically captured in the session recording. Previously available only during the live call, this audio is now embedded directly into the recording within the ProctorU platform - and included in the downloadable video file. No setup is required; this is automatically enabled for all sessions.
- API Enhancements for Accommodation Expiration: Expanding on the Accommodation Expiration release in July, administrators can now set an expiration date for each accommodation via the V2 API.
- LMS Wizard Enhancements for LTI 1.3 Integrations: Instructors can now specify whether an allowed (whitelisted) URL opens at exam launch in the LMS Wizard, providing greater control over exam setup.

Administrator and Candidate Experience
- Scenario-based Multiple Choice Questions to go Beyond Recall: Scenario-based items assess test-takers' ability to apply knowledge and make decisions in realistic situations. These items move beyond simple recall and provide stronger evidence of understanding, critical thinking, and job-relevant competence. For more information on configuring scenario-based multiple-choice questions, see this support page.
PROCTORU PLATFORM MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
The 2027 Maintenance Schedule is now available in addition to the 2026 Maintenance Schedule. We perform monthly maintenance on the ProctorU Platform, using the time to implement vital performance and stability updates. During the scheduled windows, the platform will be completely offline, meaning no one will be able to log in. You can review the maintenance schedule in our support center at any time.
Third-Party Maintenance (LMI Provider): Our third-party provider, LMI, performs regular maintenance to support platform performance and stability. During scheduled maintenance windows, the platform may be temporarily unavailable, and users will be unable to log in. Test programs and administrators can plan by reviewing the maintenance schedule by accessing the support center, helping minimize disruptions to testing operations.
