PROCTORU ONLINE PROCTORING PLATFORM

Archimedes v 25.14.0

Integration (Webhook, API, LMS)

  • Seamless LTI 1.3 Exam Sync (Blackboard and Moodle): We introduced a nightly automated sync process so that updates made in the Blackboard and Moodle Learning Management Systems (LMS)—such as exam duration, password, or exam availability—are automatically reflected in our database. This ensures instructors and administrators can manage exam details confidently, knowing changes in their LMS will carry over smoothly without having to manually sync from the LMS wizard.
  • Clearer Dashboard Messaging for LTI 1.3 Record+ Exams: We added a new notification on the test-taker dashboard so that when no Record+ exams are available, test-takers see a clear message explaining that exams will appear once they are active and ready to take. This provides greater clarity and helps set accurate expectations for test-takers using the LTI 1.3 workflow.

Reporting

  • Clearer Status in LMS Wizard User Reports: We updated the User Report within the LMS Wizard to display exam statuses more clearly. The “running” status now appears only when a test-taker is actively in an exam session, giving instructors up-to-date insight into each test-taker’s progress.

GUARDIAN BROWSER

No updates were made requiring the reinstallation of the Guardian Browser.

MEAZURE EXAM PLATFORM

Exam Administration

  • Clearer Item ID Error Messaging: We updated the error messages in the Administrator Portal so that when an invalid or non-existent item ID is entered, administrators now receive a clear explanation and guidance on how to resolve the issue. This provides more actionable information and makes troubleshooting easier.

Scheduling

  • Automated No-Show Updates for Online Proctored Exams: We expanded the no-show automation process to include online proctored exams. Bookings where a test-taker has not launched their exam within a set timeframe are now automatically marked as a no-show, reducing manual follow-up for administrators and ensuring consistent no-show handling across all exam delivery modalities.
  • Improved Start Times in Venue Exam Bookings: We improved venue test center bookings so that the Appointment Details page now shows exam start times in the correct local time zone. This provides test-takers with clear information when reviewing their bookings and supports a smoother arrival and check-in process.

Test-Taker Experience

  • Faster Spell Check in Rich Text Editor: We improved how the rich text editor processes spell check so that long text inputs are analyzed for spelling errors much more quickly. This enhancement reduces delays in identifying errors, making it easier for test-takers to review and refine extended responses.
  • Clearer Instructions for Passage and Scenario Items: We updated the intro text above passage and scenario containers in the new exam interface to provide more specific directions to test-takers. The text now reflects when multiple exam items refer to the same passage or scenario, giving test-takers clearer guidance as they work through their exam.
  • More Helpful Exam Launch Error Messages: We improved the error messages shown during exam launch indicating that an exam is unavailable, making them more user-friendly and providing clear next steps for test-takers. This creates a smoother experience, reduces confusion, and minimizes the need for custom instructions.
  • Improved Keyboard Navigation for Exam Questions: We enhanced the exam interface so that when test-takers use the “Go to Next Question” button, the keyboard focus now moves directly to the new question content. This creates a more logical and intuitive navigation flow, supporting smoother accessibility for all test-takers.

PROCTORU PLATFORM MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

The 2026 maintenance schedule is now available. We perform monthly maintenance on the ProctorU Platform, using the time to implement vital performance and stability updates. During the scheduled windows, the platform will be completely offline, meaning no one will be able to log in. You can review the maintenance schedule in our support center at any time.
