PROCTORU ONLINE PROCTORING PLATFORM

Archimedes v 25.13.0

Integration (Webhook, API, LMS)

  • Seamless LTI 1.3 Exam Sync (Canvas and D2L Brightspace): We improved the nightly sync process so that updates made in the Canvas and D2L Brightspace Learning Management Systems (LMS)—such as exam name, duration, password, or exam windows—are accurately reflected in our database. This ensures instructors and administrators can manage exam details confidently, knowing changes in their LMS will carry over smoothly.

Reporting

  • Live Report Links on Exam Iteration Page: We added live Power BI reports to the exam iteration page so that exam administrators can view key exam insights—such as scheduled test-takers, fulfilled exams, average exam start time, active interventions, and confirmed breaches—all in one place. This provides greater visibility and easier access to important exam data. See the sample below.

Report

Scheduling

  • Exam Availability Display in Record+: The Student Dashboard now shows Record+ exam start times in each test-taker's local time zone, giving them a clear and consistent view of exam availability.
  • Faster Extra Time Updates to Cirrus: For users of the Cirrus test delivery platform, we improved the processing of extra time requests for exams hosted within the Cirrus platform. This ensures that additional time added to a test-taker’s reservation appears on their reservation page almost immediately, providing a smoother experience for both administrators and test-takers.

Test-Taker Experience

  • French Localization Update: We updated the French wording on the Welcome Screen so that French-speaking test-takers enjoy clearer, more natural language and a smoother start to their exam process.
  • Updated Computer Settings Check: We improved the Computer Settings validation in Test It Out so that test-takers now see a more accurate readiness indicator. This ensures confidence that their system meets requirements and reduces confusion before starting an exam.

GUARDIAN BROWSER

Guardian Browser v 3.1.0

Test-Taker Experience

  • Improved Video Connection: We enhanced the video connection process during the Pre-Check stage so that test-takers with intermittent internet network issues have more time to establish a successful connection. This increases the likelihood of connecting smoothly and reduces interruptions before starting an exam.
  • Better Device Selection: We refined how default microphones and webcams are selected during the Pre-Check process so that test-takers are less likely to connect to an unintended device. This reduces the chance of audio or connection issues and helps ensure a smoother start to the exam.

These updates do not require reinstalling the Guardian Browser.

GUARDIAN EXTENSION

Guardian Extension v 0.34.0

Test-Taker Experience

  • Streamlined Extension Setup: After installing the Guardian Extension from the Chrome Store, test-takers are now automatically directed back to the Pre-Checks screen. This simplifies the setup process, helping test-takers move rapidly and smoothly into their exam.
  • Improved Utility Tab Display: The Utility tab now presents input device information more clearly, making it easier for test-takers to manage connected devices during exam setup.

MEAZURE EXAM PLATFORM

Exam Administration

  • Improved Delivery Window Filtering: Administrators can now filter the Delivery Windows table by exam status (open, delivered, or cancelled). A new ‘Current’ option in the ‘Show’ filter also makes it easy to focus only on active Delivery Windows.

Exam Development

  • Streamlined Item Editor Toolbar Navigation: We simplified the bottom toolbar in the “View Question” display by shortening button labels and removing extraneous navigation buttons. The functions of those buttons can still be performed through the “Send to State” menu. This update improves usability for exam administrators today and creates room for future item management features.
  • Exam Cloning Workflow: We introduced a new cloning workflow that allows exam administrators to name a cloned exam and choose which elements to include—such as pre-exam content, post-exam content, exam parts, competency areas, and forms. This provides greater flexibility and control when duplicating exams, helping administrators manage content more efficiently.
  • Form Duplication Enhancement: We improved the exam form duplication process so that duplicated forms now consistently retain the same item sequence as the original, without requiring extra steps. This streamlines exam management and makes it easier for administrators to create and reuse exam forms.

Reporting

  • Competency Statistics Report Update: We moved the Competency Statistics report to the System Reports section and updated it to run as a direct download instead of an online preview. This streamlines access to results and ensures complex calculations are delivered quickly and reliably for administrators.

Scheduling

  • Simplified Location Selection: We enhanced the scheduling workflow so that test-takers can select a location by clicking anywhere on the test center tile, rather than only on the small radio button. With improved spacing, alignment, and readability, the process of booking an exam at a test center is now easier and more intuitive.

Test-Taker Experience

  • Enhanced Screen Reader Support for Annotations: We updated screen reader functionality so that annotations on answer choices and multi-part highlights are read out clearly and consistently. This ensures test-takers using screen readers can fully access and understand annotated content, supporting a more inclusive and effective exam experience.
  • More Intuitive Annotation Menu: We improved the three-dot selection menu in the Annotation Panel. The menu now positions itself below the dots when space allows or above them when space is limited, ensuring it always stays visible and easy to use and providing smoother interaction for test-takers.
  • Scrollable Tables for Better Readability: We added horizontal scrolling in the new exam interface so that test-takers can view all table content without shrinking text. This improves readability, especially when using text magnification tools, and ensures all information remains fully accessible during the exam.

COMING SOON

  • Updated Booking Time Format: We are implementing an Adjustable Time Display in the booking workflow This will allow clients to set bookings to a 12-hour (AM/PM) time format or 24-hour (military) time format at the site level. By default, all clients will be set to 12-hour time. This change is coming soon and will impact all delivery modalities.

CANDIDATE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Legacy CMS v 25.12.0

Policy

  • Stronger Password Rules: We enhanced password validation in our Connect and legacy candidate management systems so that passwords cannot include a test-taker’s first or last name with multiple words or spaces. This helps protect accounts with stronger security and ensures compliance with password safety standards.

PROCTORU PLATFORM MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

The 2026 maintenance schedule is now available. We perform monthly maintenance on the ProctorU Platform, using the time to implement vital performance and stability updates. During the scheduled windows, the platform will be completely offline, meaning no one will be able to log in. You can review the maintenance schedule in our support center at any time.
